Like a great wine, Suzanne Berlin gets better with each passing year!
We recently celebrated Suzanne’s 25th anniversary with One World at Grape Expectations, a winemaking facility in Bridgewater NJ. Employees were walked through the winemaking process and were treated to a fun and informative hands-on experience of making a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon especially for Suzanne.
The first step in the process had staff members pouring the grapes into vats where they would be separated from the stems. This step was followed by the more ambitious of the group mashing the grapes with specially designed poles. The image of 3 people standing around stirring the concoction in a large vat immediately brought to mind “double, double, toil and trouble”, but our efforts will surely produce something far lovelier than a witch’s brew.
The One World crew will soon return to Grape Expectations to press the grapes – bringing us that much closer to our final delicious vino. We all had a blast celebrating Suzanne’s milestone.
